How to Use the Loading Bar?

This is a simple guide for beginner users of The Loading Bar.


Setting up The Loading Bar

Step 1. Go to the Loading Bar settings. You can find this on your menu > Settings > The Loading Bar.

Step 2. Customize the settings according to your preferences. You can customize the Loading Bar in various ways. You can add a background, percentage label, text, styles and transitions.

Step 3. On your Loading Bar Placement, choose where you want your Loading Bar to work. You can choose between All Pages, Homepage or Selected Pages. If you want to make Loading Bar work on selected pages, you need to set the drop down to Let me select pages, post, custom post types or page templates instead before adding your selections.

Step 4. Go to the top most part of the page. Make sure that the Loading Bar is Enabled. Then, Save your Page.


Running the Loading Bar on Custom Post Types and Templates

Step 1. Make sure you have set the drop down to Let me select pages, post, custom post types or page templates instead before you specify the pages.

Step 2. Go to Posts from Custom Post Types with a Loading Bar and input the post IDs where you want the Loading Bar in.
You can find Post IDs when you edit a page on the address bar that goes as post=XXXX&action=edit

Go to Theme templates with a Loading Bar if you want to add the Loading Bar on a template. You have to include the name of php files of your template.
Example: archive.php, 404.php, home.php

Step 3. Save your changes.
