Wordfence Firewall Setup & Compatibility

Page Builder Sandwich performs ajax functions throughout your editing experience. The ajax calls range from getting shortcode mappings, rendering shortcodes to saving your changes.

Wordfence has a firewall feature that should be able to whitelist the processes and you shouldn't encounter any problems with using Wordfence and Page Builder Sandwich together.

However, if you are experiencing problems such as saving problems or shortcodes not showing rendered output anymore, then you might need to whitelist ajax calls specific to Page Builder Sandwich.

Wordfence Firewall Whitelist

To white list PBS in Wordfence's Firewall, add an entry in the Whitelisted URLs area with these parameters:

  • URL: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
  • Param: POST Body
  • Param Name: main-content

For multisite WordPress installations, please include your site's folder name in the URL above. For example: /my-multisite/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

After adding those values, you should be able to save your changes with PBS again.
